十三么？！

Never have I ever... but Nui nui 竟然食十三么！？

 On a day the WiFi went down... SW wanted to go shoot some hoops.  No rebound 1v1.  

I easily took the first game... and he caught his groove in the second game.  Third game... I started to find my rhythm and you can tell he was gassed... his legs weren't there and his 3's were consistently off.  Ended the battle by sinking a 3... nothing but net.

Then it got to pickle ball and it wasn't even close. 

Today... I'm paying for it.  So sore..... but oh so worth it.

Crossing paths

 I just ran into someone by the stairs had a wonderful conversation. He knew my name and it seemed like we may have worked together in the past. But I have no idea who he is.

Bridge to Terabithia

Recommended by the NY Times as one of the best children's novel.  Newberry Award winning "Bridge to Terabithia."  I never read it as a kid... despite reading other Newberry books and I only know about this cuz of the movie that came out in the mid 2010's? 

Reading this as a 40+ year old man... I kinda expected what was going to happen.  But when it did happen, I was in shambles.

The forward is written by a woman in her 30's... and she had a completely different yet similar experience.

I don't know how I would've reacted had I read it as a young teen... the age group this book was intended for.    

The best part of the book, oddly enough, wasn't the story itself.  But the transcript of Katherine Paterson's Newberry Award winning speech.  That.... is pure genius.  Literature to the n-th degree.  I salute you.
