The problem is... there are no problems.

Had a strong conviction the other day that the biggest problem with church nowadays (and particular my church) is that everyone there is too "perfect." Church oughta be filled with prostitutes... single moms or single dads... criminals out on parole... recovering drug addicts... etc...

If anyone of the aforementioned people were to walk into our church...they would immediately turn around and leave cuz they will feel exactly what society wants them to feel... like outcasts. It's no wonder why people like visiting our church, but choose not to stay.

Because we don't have people with the same background/experience literally to take care of them.

I can ask a similar questions: How come we can't take care of people who speak Dutch and German.

But instead of let them go away, we can introduce them to church that focus on those serving.

Very interesting... are we going to the same church? I see drunken people, homeless, mentally challenged, couples at verge of divorce, kids in stressed homes, people in real financial difficulties, home conflicts days in and out.

Is it not here or is it that they are not being noticed?

it's indeed a good question to ponder...

Our church is us => the problem is us...

SC brought up a good point. Am I another person with eyes but did not see?
